Job Summary

Commonwealth Concepts is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Executive Chef to lead our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Japanese cuisine and a proven track record of managing high-performing teams.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement menus that showcase our culinary expertise
  • Lead a team of chefs and kitchen staff to ensure seamless service delivery
  • Monitor food costs and inventory levels to optimize profitability
  • Ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene standards
  • Collaborate with the Head of Culinary Innovation to create new menu items and seasonal specials
  • Manage staff training and development programs
  • Conduct regular kitchen audits to maintain high standards of cleanliness and organization

Requirements

  • Minimum 4-5 years of experience as a Sushi Chef or equivalent
  • Strong leadership and management skills
  • Excellent culinary technical knowledge and creativity
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing circumstances
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays
