We are seeking a Research Assistant to join our multidisciplinary team. This is a one-year contract position that will involve working in the laboratory on projects focused on applying 2D materials to membranes for gas and liquid separation and purification.

About the Role:

As a Research Assistant, you will contribute to the long-term safety and operational readiness of the laboratories. Responsibilities include supporting preventive maintenance, upkeep of research tools, and assisting with basic troubleshooting of equipment.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Work on materials synthesis and preparation for membrane fabrication
  • Work with sample preparation and characterization, including systematic results reporting and quality control
  • Work with experimental setups for separation processes
  • Perform laboratory measurements and present reports on experimental results
  • Calibrate/maintain the assigned equipment
  • Support on standard operating procedures, risk assessments, and experimental plans for assigned equipment and processes
  • Manage general lab inventory and administrative support on purchase procedures
  • Collaborate with partnering collaborators and research groups
