Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced professional to fill the role of Desktop Engineer, responsible for managing and maintaining desktop systems to ensure optimal performance and efficiency. This position requires a strong technical background in computer hardware and software, as well as excellent problem-solving skills.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Installation, configuration, and maintenance of desktop systems, including hardware and software components.
  2. Troubleshooting and resolving technical issues with desktop systems, including hardware and software problems.
  3. Providing technical support and guidance to end-users on desktop system usage and troubleshooting.
  4. Managing and maintaining desktop system documentation, including user manuals and technical guides.
  5. Collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve technical issues affecting desktop systems.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Troubleshooting: Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues.
  • Microsoft Office: Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Windows 10: In-depth knowledge of Windows 10 operating system and its various features.
  • Ticketing: Experience with ticketing systems and ability to manage and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Laptops: Familiarity with laptop hardware and software configurations.
  • Active Directory: Knowledge of Active Directory and its various features.
  • Windows 7: Experience with Windows 7 operating system and its various features.
  • Administration: Strong administrative skills and ability to manage and maintain desktop systems.
  • Information Technology: In-depth knowledge of information technology concepts and principles.
  • Computer Hardware: Familiarity with computer hardware components and configurations.
  • Application Support: Experience with application support and ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
  • Networking: Knowledge of networking concepts and principles.
  • Operating Systems: In-depth knowledge of operating systems and their various features.
  • Technical Support: Excellent technical support skills and ability to provide guidance to end-users.
