About the Role

AWWA LTD. is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Early Intervention Educator to join our team. As a key member of our staff, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality early intervention services to children with special needs.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Service Delivery Excellence: Maintain the highest standards of service delivery in our Early Intervention Centre, ensuring that all children receive the best possible care and support.
  2. Regular Reporting and Attendance: Report to the Centre regularly and attend classes, meetings, trainings, and events in a punctual and professional manner.
  3. Lesson Planning and Curriculum Development: Develop and implement lesson plans that are tailored to the needs of each child, using developmentally appropriate teaching materials, methods, tools, and assistive technologies.
  4. Natural Learning Environments: Create and maintain natural learning environments that stimulate children's learning interest and promote engagement, using new teaching and learning approaches.
  5. Classroom Management: Co-plan and implement effective classroom management strategies to manage individual and group learning, ensuring that all children receive the support they need.
  6. Collaboration and Communication: Coordinate centre-based and home-based interventions with the Trans-disciplinary team, collaborate with families and caregivers, and maintain regular communication with parents and guardians.
  7. Functional Learning Goals: Develop and implement functional learning goals for each child, in collaboration with the Trans-disciplinary team and family members.
  8. Progress Monitoring and Record Keeping: Monitor and review children's progress, functional goals, and family priorities, maintaining accurate records of attendance, assessment, intervention, and progress.
  9. IEP and Progress Reports: Prepare Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) and progress reports for each child, discussing these with parents during Parent-Team Conferences.
  10. Administration and Safety: Be responsible for all matters related to administration, intervention, caregiving, and safety, ensuring that all children are protected and supported.
  11. Health, Safety, and Hygiene: Maintain high standards of health, safety, and hygiene, implementing procedures to protect and support children in a safe learning environment.
  12. Equipment and Resource Management: Inventory and maintain all equipment and resources in the Centre's classrooms and common areas.
  13. Professional Development: Attend meetings, discussions, training, workshops, functions, and events as necessary, maintaining confidentiality and upholding the Centre's values and standards.
  14. Confidentiality and Centre Initiatives: Maintain confidentiality at all times and support the implementation of Centre initiatives, identifying areas for improvement in family and community programs.
