Position Overview

Our Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) – Transaction Advisory team is experiencing significant growth to better serve our clients across the APAC region. We are looking for a Managing Consultant to contribute to the successful execution of various projects while fostering ongoing client relationships to capitalize on market expansion.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the preparation of proposals, including the development of our corporate profile, technical scopes, scheduling, and commercial terms.
  • Assist or take charge of projects that evaluate the technical, operational, and business aspects of proposed investments in infrastructure assets.
  • Coordinate project deliverables, including Q&A submissions, management meetings, client interactions, and report presentations.
  • Collaborate effectively with technical teams within ERM and engage with subcontractors recognized as Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to enhance project delivery and client relations.
  • Contribute to internal development initiatives aimed at improving the functionality of ERM's Transaction Advisory service line.

Qualifications and Skills

To be considered for this role, candidates should demonstrate the following:

Essential Skills:

  • A strong academic foundation in engineering disciplines such as Civil, Chemical, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering.
  • 6 to 8 years of experience in technical consulting, engineering, or operational roles within the energy, power, or infrastructure sectors.
  • Proficient technical skills with the ability to identify risks and opportunities in technical documentation.
  • Experience conducting site visits, inspections, and technical discussions related to asset integrity and operational performance.
  • Exceptional organizational skills, self-motivation, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced team environment.
  • Commitment to delivering high-quality work and maintaining standards within the team.
  • Advanced report writing and presentation capabilities, with experience in client-facing roles.

Desirable Attributes:

  • Experience managing external client projects.
  • Ability to lead complex project deliveries by coordinating multiple workstreams.
  • Familiarity with technical due diligence processes.
  • Corporate finance qualifications.
  • Willingness to travel for site visits as needed.
  • Knowledge of current Capex and Opex costs for engineering projects.
  • Understanding of decarbonization strategies and technologies.
  • Experience in reviewing EPC contracts, financial models, designs, specifications, and budgets for industrial projects.
