The Senior Executive/Executive will be responsible for overseeing the procurement process at IPS FOO NGAN SDN BHD. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of achieving cost savings through effective procurement strategies. Responsibilities include conducting market analysis, building strong supplier relationships, and negotiating contracts.
Key Responsibilities
Formulate and implement effective procurement strategies to achieve cost-efficient purchasing and timely delivery of goods and services. Conduct market analysis to optimize costs and mitigate procurement risks. Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers. Negotiate contracts, monitor supplier performance, and lead continuous improvement initiatives. Work closely with internal departments, including engineering and quality teams, to ensure alignment with material and parts requirements. Ensure procurement activities meet company policies, technical specifications, and industry regulations. Oversee inventory levels to reduce excess stock, prevent shortages, and implement effective inventory management systems. Provide recommendations to management based on detailed analyses. Track and follow up on orders to ensure on-time delivery. Maintain accurate documentation for all procurement activities.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree or Polytechnic Diploma in a relevant field. Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role within the manufacturing industry. Proficiency in ERP systems, Microsoft Office, and data management tools. Familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics 365 is an advantage. Knowledge of mechanical and electrical parts. In-depth understanding of procurement best practices, market trends, and industry regulations.
