About the role
A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced Accountant to join the team as a Cost Accountant for the manufacturing division.
What you'll be doing
Responsible for managing cost accounting processes, including standard costing, variance analysis, and inventory valuation
Prepare and analyse monthly production cost reports, identifying areas for cost savings and operational improvements
Support the month-end close process, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting
Collaborate with the production team to improve cost tracking and forecasting
Provide financial data and insights to aid decision-making
Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and internal policies
Participate in special projects and ad-hoc tasks as required
What we're looking for
Qualified accountant (ACCA, CPA or equivalent) with 3-5 years' experience in a similar cost accounting role, preferably within a manufacturing environment
Strong understanding of cost accounting principles, including standard costing, variance analysis and inventory valuation
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret financial data and provide meaningful insights
Proficient in the use of financial reporting software and spreadsheet applications
Strong attention to detail and the ability to work accurately under pressure
Good communication and collaboration skills to liaise effectively with cross-functional teams
