Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Learning Support Assistant to join our inclusive education and therapy team.

The successful candidate will work closely with our experienced Learning Support teacher to provide tailored support for students under the direction of the classroom teacher.

About the Role

As a Learning Support Assistant, you will be responsible for supporting children with mild-moderate additional learning needs and Autism.

You will work in collaboration with our Speech & Language, Occupational Therapy and Social-emotional Learning Specialists to develop and implement effective strategies to support student learning.

Key Responsibilities

  • Providing individualized support to students with diverse learning needs
  • Assisting the Learning Support teacher in planning and delivering interventions
  • Working collaboratively with other professionals to develop and implement inclusive practices
  • Supporting English as an Additional Language (EAL) learners

Requirements

  • Experience working with children with mild-moderate additional learning needs and Autism
  • Excellent communication skills, time management, and adaptability
  • A patient and empathetic early educator who is passionate about providing a nurturing learning environment
  • Collaborative and participating in the wider school community
  • Diploma in Early Years Education, Special/Inclusive Education and/or Teaching preferred
