Science Laboratory Assistant

We are seeking a skilled and organized individual to join our team as a Science Laboratory Assistant.

The successful candidate will be responsible for facilitating the delivery of Science lessons and practical assessments, including preparation and setup of apparatus, reagents, and materials.

  • Prepare and set up apparatus, reagents, and materials for Science lessons and practical assessments.
  • Manage daily operations, inventory, and maintenance of the two Science rooms and science learning areas in the school.
  • Assist in preparations for Science Department events and activities.
  • Support other school events and activities as required.
  • Assist in the upkeep and basic troubleshooting of equipment used in science eco-stewardship initiatives.
  • Provide support in school general administrative matters, including handling frontline counter duties.

To succeed in this role, you will require:

  • A post-secondary qualification or equivalent.
  • At least 1 year of experience in logistics, administrative duties, or science-related laboratory work.
  • Strong teamwork and good communication skills.
  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.

Key Responsibilities

The Science Laboratory Assistant will be responsible for:

  1. Facilitating the delivery of Science lessons and practical assessments.
  2. Managing daily operations, inventory, and maintenance of the Science rooms and science learning areas.
  3. Assisting in preparations for Science Department events and activities.
  4. Supporting other school events and activities as required.
  5. Providing support in school general administrative matters.
