We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team as an Assistant Director, Academic Planning. This is a pivotal role that requires the ability to translate academic vision into action by reviewing and shaping policies, enabling innovative curriculum development, ensuring quality assurance, and driving initiatives that prepare students to thrive in a rapidly changing world.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will have responsibility for:

  1. Researching global best practices and proposing education strategies aligned with the university's long-term academic priorities;
  2. Supporting the review and development of undergraduate policies and frameworks, ensuring coherence across disciplines;
  3. Reviewing and advising on curriculum and course proposals from Colleges and Schools;
  4. Overseeing policy and governance for MOOCs and digital learning, ensuring timely updates;
  5. Administering and managing quality assurance and reporting on undergraduate programme performance, risks, and outcomes;
  6. Driving implementation of undergraduate initiatives;
  7. Serving as secretariat for undergraduate-related committees and liaising across academic and administrative units;
  8. Facilitating workshops and engagements with faculty and stakeholders to support policy adoption and innovation;
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, the ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree with at least 5 years of relevant experience in higher education, curriculum development, or academic policy, along with the following skills and qualifications:

  • A proven track record of programme management, policy development, and academic operations;
  • Strong planning, organisation, and analytical skills to drive initiatives and manage complexity;
  • Excellent written and verbal communication; skilled in leading discussions, workshops, and stakeholder engagements;
  • Able to uphold academic standards, ensure compliance, and monitor risks effectively;
  • Strategic thinker with an eye for detail, values-driven, and adaptable;
