Job Description:
The selected candidate will be involved in various projects, focusing on understanding the fundamental biological basis of gut feelings and how bacteria in the gut signal to the host to influence physiology and behavior. This includes using mice as a mammalian model to investigate how diet and microbiome factors modulate host phenotypes, such as food reward and anxiety behaviors.
Research will be conducted under the supervision of experienced professionals, with opportunities for mentorship and collaboration with other research teams. The ideal candidate will be highly motivated, self-driven, and able to work effectively in a team.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Hold a Bachelor's degree in Biology or relevant disciplines
- Have a keen interest in microbiome gut brain neuroscience
- Be proficient in relevant techniques, including molecular biology, histology procedures, microscopy, rodent behavioral assays, neuroscience optogenetic and chemogenetic techniques, functional recording and calcium imaging, mice surgery, data analysis and presentation
