Senior Research Fellow

This is a role at a higher education institution where you will work with the scientific community to create impactful discoveries in the field of microbiome gut-brain neuroscience.

  • You must have a doctoral degree in neuroscience or a relevant discipline and a strong publication track record.
  • You must lead impactful work within the lab's research theme on the microbiome gut brain neuroscience.
  • Exhibit proficiency in mice/rodent handling, optogenetics, and behaviors, animal surgery, and dissection.
  • Demonstrate experience and specialized expertise in multiphoton/ 2-photon in vivo calcium imaging and data analysis, or in gnotobiotic studies and microbiome analysis/bioinformatics.

This is an opportunity for someone who is highly motivated, able to work independently and as part of a team, and willing to teach, learn, and assist with essential lab duties. The role also involves recruiting talented postdoctoral research fellows, research assistants, and interns, and sponsoring motivated PhD/Masters students.
