We are seeking a skilled Technician to join our team in the repair of engine components.
Job DescriptionThe successful candidate will be responsible for operating plasma machining equipment, performing total productive maintenance on plasma machines, and troubleshooting as required by the engineer. They will also be expected to cross-train in support repair processes in laser clad, laser drill, and/or brazing.
Key Responsibilities:- Operate plasma machining equipment for the repair of engine components.
- Perform total productive maintenance (TPM) on plasma machines.
- Perform programming and troubleshooting as required by the engineer.
- Cross-train in support repair processes in laser clad, laser drill, and/or brazing.
The successful candidate will also be expected to follow procedures and guidelines to meet operational requirements and quality standards, report any incidents, hazardous conditions, and emergencies to the supervisor, perform an assessment of the risk of activities and take corrective and preventive actions, participate in audits and inspections as and when required, attend EH&S training programs and take personal responsibility to ensure safety adherence, and support continuous improvement programs and CORE (Customer Oriented Results & Excellence) activities.
Required Skills and QualificationsTo be considered for this role, applicants must have a minimum of 2 years' relevant experience operating machinery or working in a manufacturing environment. They should also possess 'O' levels or NITEC in Engineering or relevant qualifications, ability to understand basic technical instructions and standard operating procedures (SOP), comfortable with hands-on work to operate with equipment, tools, and machines, curious and learning mindset, self-motivated and adaptable to change with a positive attitude, willing to work rotating shifts (Day & Night) and overtime when required.
Preferred Qualifications:- Experience in aerospace, manufacturing, or precision engineering.
- Basic working knowledge of MS Office application and SAP.
- Prior experience working on plasma coating equipment.
