As a senior signalling professional, you will be responsible for overseeing the testing and commissioning of complex urban railway signalling systems. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in leading teams of engineers and ensuring the timely and high-quality delivery of projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • You will lead the planning, coordination, and execution of all testing and commissioning activities for CBTC signalling systems, including onboard and wayside equipment, interlockings, ATS, and system interfaces.
  • You will develop and maintain comprehensive testing and commissioning strategies, detailed test schedules, resource plans, and commissioning roadmaps aligned with project timelines and contractual milestones.
  • You will oversee Factory Acceptance Tests (FATs), Site Acceptance Tests, System Integration Tests, dynamic testing, trial operations, and system handover to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and client expectations.
  • You will interface with internal engineering and project teams, subcontractors, and stakeholders to ensure smooth coordination and clear communication throughout the testing and commissioning phases.
  • You will review and approve testing documentation, including test procedures, method statements, and test reports.
  • You will monitor testing KPIs, track progress, identify risks, and initiate mitigation strategies to ensure timely project delivery.
  • You will support safety certification activities, RAMS assessments, and participate in ISA audits and safety workshops.
  • You will lead and mentor a team of signalling engineers and supervise subcontractor performance on site.
  • You will serve as the key point of contact for Siemens on all testing and commissioning-related matters during the project lifecycle.

Requirements

  • A bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or a related field is required. At least 10 years of experience in signalling systems, with a focus on urban railway signalling, are also necessary.
  • You must have strong familiarity with signalling technology and system architecture, as well as proven experience in leading signalling projects.
  • In-depth understanding of relevant regulations, testing and commissioning workflows, and approval processes is essential.
  • Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills are necessary for success in this role.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience with CBTC solutions and knowledge of CENELEC standards or functional safety are desirable.
  • Fluent English language skills are required.
