About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Director of Infrastructure Planning and Development to join our team at Careers@Gov. As a key member of our organization, you will play a critical role in shaping the future of our infrastructure and development initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Infrastructure Policy and Planning
    • Develop a comprehensive roadmap for an arts infrastructure masterplan that aligns with our organization's goals and objectives.
    • Collaborate with land planning agencies to integrate the arts into their masterplans and policies.
    • Build strong relationships with stakeholders to ensure effective communication and coordination.
  • Infrastructure Development
    • Implement existing and new development projects to support our arts infrastructure initiatives.
    • Manage the development process, including securing budgets and project managing the development project.
  • Leasing and Tenancy Management
    • Guide the team on leasing and tenancy management matters to ensure adherence to our infrastructure support framework.
    • Initiate Open Calls for arts spaces and oversee the process from call to award and onboard.
    • Develop policies and SOPs to ensure good practices are consistently upheld.
  • Facilities Management
    • Lead the team to ensure that venue cyclical, repair, and maintenance programmes are undertaken satisfactorily.
    • Oversee the necessary procurement and ensure compliance with the Government Instruction Manual.
Requirements
  • Minimum 15 years of relevant experience, including at least 8 years in a supervisory position.
  • Proven track record of successful collaboration with public and/or private sector partners.
  • Strong policy development skills, particularly in infrastructure support and space resource planning.
  • Experience in managing leases and addressing tenancy management issues.
  • Expertise in stakeholder engagement and change management.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, automation tools, and analytical software.
  • Understanding of placemaking concepts and space resource planning.
  • Knowledge of workflow optimisation and standard operating procedures (SOPs) to ensure sound governance.
  • Interest in driving automation and workflow digitalization.
  • Meticulous with a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
  • Eager to explore new opportunities with public and private sector players.
  • Persuasive, resilient, and resourceful.
  • Strong interpersonal skills; comfortable interacting with diverse arts tenants and stakeholders.
  • Ability to coach and enable team members to reach their full potential.
