Main Responsibilities:

  1. ">
  2. Ensure that all assigned vessels comply with relevant regulations and standards.">
  3. Oversee the execution and monitoring of planned maintenance systems for vessel machinery and equipment.">
  4. Approve, coordinate, and supervise repairs; prepare technical specifications.">
  5. Plan and oversee dry-docking activities, ensuring quality, timely completion, and cost-effectiveness.">
  6. Prepare and control annual technical budgets for assigned vessels, analyzing variances.">
  7. Conduct internal audits, technical risk assessments, and incident investigations, ensuring close-out of all findings.">
  8. Support vessel inspections, surveys, and audits conducted by external authorities.">

Requirements:

  • ">
  • A Certificate of Competency (COC) Class 1 with prior Chief Engineer sailing experience on bulk carriers.">
  • At least 2 years' superintendent experience managing bulk carrier fleets.">
  • Hands-on experience with 2-stroke marine engines, MEC engine experience preferred.">
  • Demonstrated experience in successful dry-dock planning and supervision.">
  • In-depth knowledge of Class, Flag State, and industry compliance requirements, effective communication in English.">
