We are seeking an accomplished Physiotherapy Service Director to spearhead our physiotherapy services in enabling persons with disabilities to access learning and services, participate in life and work, and achieve a high quality of life.

Job Summary

The postholder will be responsible for providing, developing, and enhancing clinical services in the area of physiotherapy within the organisation. This includes overseeing the clinical skills development of therapists, ensuring that all clinical services and practices are safe, evidence-based, and compliant with clinical governance standards and regulations.

  • Conducting thorough clinical assessments and implementing individualized care plans for clients with complex needs.
  • Providing expert clinical supervision to senior physiotherapists and/or physiotherapists, ensuring adherence to professional standards and best practices.
  • Ensuring clinical services adhere to relevant professional standards, regulations, and best practices to deliver high-quality, safe, and effective care.
  • Optimising the use of clinical resources, including staff, equipment, and facilities, to maximise the impact and reach of services.
  • Delivering expert clinical guidance, mentorship, and support to the team to enhance their skills and professional development.
Service Development & Improvement
  • Collaborating with department heads and clinical leads to develop and implement the organisation's clinical strategy and service provision, ensuring delivery of safe, high-quality, and efficient care.
  • Contributing to or leading the development and implementation of new programs and services.
  • Designing and evaluating the effectiveness of existing programs/services and recommending improvements.
  • Implementing quality improvement initiatives to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of services.
  • Monitoring and analysing clinical outcomes to identify areas for improvement.
Requirements
  • A recognised degree/master in physiotherapy.
  • Registration with allied health professional services.
  • Minimum 5 years post-qualification experience working as a physiotherapist.

Candidates should demonstrate strong clinical expertise and the ability to mentor junior staff, while also showcasing advanced clinical proficiency and a track record of driving service excellence, innovation, and evidence-based practices.
