Job Summary:
This position is responsible for managing the culinary operations of a high-end food service establishment. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in kitchen management, menu planning, and food preparation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Menu Planning and Food Preparation: Develop and implement menus that meet the highest standards of quality and presentation. Collaborate with the Executive Chef to ensure that all dishes are prepared according to recipe and presentation guidelines.
- Culinary Team Management: Supervise and train junior chefs and kitchen staff on food preparation, hygiene protocols, and inventory management. Ensure that all team members are working efficiently and effectively to meet kitchen demands.
- Inventory Management: Manage kitchen inventory, including ordering and stocking halal ingredients, monitoring food costs, and maintaining the highest sanitation standards.
- Kitchen Operations: Oversee kitchen operations during events, ensuring smooth execution and quality control. Work closely with banquet teams to understand event requirements and adjust schedules as needed.
Requirements:
- Diploma or Degree in Culinary Arts, Food & Beverage Management, or related field.
- At least 4-6 years of experience in a kitchen, with experience in banquet and large-scale event catering preferred.
- Strong understanding of food preparation standards and certification requirements.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in preparing diverse cuisines, particularly Chinese and Western.
