Job Title: Electrical Quality Assurance Specialist

Job Description:
  • Inspect and verify the quality of outgoing parts and incoming sub-contracted parts based on established procedures and specifications.
  • Perform regular inspections of incoming shipments, report any quality issues to the QA Manager and Production Manager for prompt action.
  • Ensure non-compliant products are segregated from good products until they are addressed, approve the rejection of parts that fail to meet quality standards.
  • Authorize the release of high-quality parts for storage and delivery to customers, conduct routine tests and checks on switchboards completed in the workshop.
  • Test and commission switchboards on vessels or on-site to meet customer requirements, handle warranty claims and quality complaints effectively.
  • Conduct official tests on switchboards that require witness by surveyors or consultants, and possibly customers.
  • Support the QA Manager with quality responsibilities and contribute to meeting quality goals, maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  • Adhere to safety protocols when performing tasks, ensure calibrated instruments are used for inspection purposes.
  • Take proactive measures to prevent product defects, identify, recommend, or provide solutions to problems encountered.
  • Verify if proposed solutions are working and being applied, oversee the processing and delivery of non-compliant products until issues are resolved.
  • Perform other tasks as assigned by your supervisor, adhere to the Quality Management System procedures for effective control and implementation.

Requirements:

  • A degree in Electrical Engineering (specifically electrical).
  • Prefer 2 years of QA experience in the marine or industrial field.
  • Experience in testing switchboards/panels is an advantage.
  • Willingness to work onboard the vessel, and occasional travel, with a reasonable overseas travel allowance provided.
