Environmental Health and Safety Officer
About the JobThe successful candidate will be responsible for developing, implementing, maintaining, and improving EHS Management Systems and safety culture at project level.
- Liaise closely with Senior Manager, EHS and Head of Project to develop and implement EHS policies and procedures.
- Lead daily toolbox meetings, safety inspections, safety training and other EHS initiatives to maintain a high level of safety at work site.
- Monitor and take disciplinary actions against unsafe acts/conditions on project site to comply with Company Safety Management System and relevant legislation.
- Responsible for accident reporting and investigations including near misses and any industrial disease cases at work site.
- Identify environmental issues and recommend measures to rectify irregularities.
The ideal candidate should have a background in Environmental Health and Safety with at least 3 years' experience in a construction firm.
- Must be a registered WSHO with relevant authorities.
- Has prior experience working for mixed-development/building projects.
- Excellent team spirit, good interpersonal skills and a 'can-do' attitude are essential.
