Job Title: Drone Operations Manager

We are seeking a skilled professional to oversee the management of our drone training programs. The ideal candidate will have experience in managing specialized training courses and contracts, as well as liaising with authorities, clients, and stakeholders.

The selected candidate will be responsible for:

  • Managing VTOL (BVOC) Training: Ensuring all training and safety Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) are met;
  • Liaising with Authorities: Coordinating with regulatory bodies, clients, and stakeholders on contract matters;
  • UAV Contract Management: Taking charge of unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) contracts and acting as the main point of contact;
  • Representing the Organization: Representing the organization in UATO and UABTO related matters;
  • Custodian of UA Related Training Courseware: Maintaining and updating UA related training courseware and content in Learning Management Systems (LMS);
  • Incorporating Industry Best Practices: Incorporating industry best practices, safety regulations, and company standards into training programs;
  • Delivering Engaging Drone Training Sessions: Delivering engaging and informative drone training sessions;
  • Assessing Student Learning: Assessing student learning and providing feedback to improve performance;
  • Coordinating and Managing Drone Training Programs: Coordinating and managing drone training programs;
  • Tracking Student Progress: Tracking student progress and maintaining accurate training records;
  • Evaluating the Effectiveness of Training Programs: Evaluating the effectiveness of training programs and making recommendations for improvement;
  • Staying Up-to-Date with Advancements: Staying up-to-date with the latest advancements in drone technology, regulations, and training methodologies.

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Relevant Experience and Qualifications: A diploma with at least 7 years of relevant training and management experience or a degree with at least 5 years of relevant experience;
  • Unmanned Aircraft Pilot License (UAPL): Possession of an Unmanned Aircraft Pilot License (UAPL);
  • Additional Certifications: WSQ Advanced Certificate in Learning and Performance (ALCP/ACTA) would be an asset; SFA, and CPR & AED certification would be an asset.
