Job Title: Senior Counsellor/Social Worker
About the RoleThe Senior Counsellor/Social Worker (Educator) is a pivotal position that plays a crucial role in supporting the Deputy Director with strategic planning and vision alignment for the Academy.
To future-proof and propel the SOS Academy towards Centre of Excellence, it's essential to stay connected with key players involved in training and equipping Social Services, Community Services, and Health Care.
This position demands skillsets in strategic thinking, planning, partnership, engagement, courseware development, course management, trainee management, trainer management, training quality assurance, and learning and development. The incumbent will be responsible for managing Executive-level staff, requiring strong managerial skills.
Candidates should possess formal qualifications and professional experience in counselling or social work, with a solid foundation in clinical practice. A strong advantage would be if the candidate brings subject matter expertise and practical experience of professional development in an organisation, mental health, crisis management, and/or suicide prevention.
Key Responsibilities- Design, review, and update training materials on programmes offered by SOS for both in-house and external stakeholders
- Develop interactive and engaging learning experiences, including case studies, simulations, and role-playing exercises to facilitate effective learning
