Ensign InfoSecurity is seeking a qualified candidate for the position of Director, Information Security. In this pivotal role, you will be instrumental in realizing Ensign's vision for cybersecurity. Reporting directly to the Information Security Office, you will work closely with executive leadership and various business units to drive cybersecurity initiatives forward.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Formulate and execute the organization's information security strategy, objectives, and initiatives.
  • Develop and uphold information security policies, standards, and procedures to ensure adherence to relevant regulations and frameworks.
  • Facilitate the identification, evaluation, and management of information security risks, including conducting comprehensive risk and vulnerability assessments.
  • Lead the establishment and execution of a threat-informed defense strategy, utilizing cyber threat intelligence to proactively identify and address potential security threats and vulnerabilities.
  • Assist in crafting metrics and reporting systems to monitor the effectiveness of defense measures and communicate the security posture to senior management.
  • Contribute to the design and implementation of security controls and countermeasures to safeguard the organization's information assets, networks, systems, and applications.
  • Stay informed about the latest trends, technologies, threats, and vulnerabilities in information security, providing technical guidance and recommendations to senior management.
  • Support the development and maintenance of incident response plans, coordinating response activities and conducting post-incident evaluations.
  • Establish and maintain a robust cyber threat intelligence program, including the collection, analysis, and dissemination of actionable intelligence to relevant stakeholders.
  • Conduct threat assessments and provide recommendations for enhancing the organization's security posture based on insights from threat intelligence.
  • Ensure the integration of threat intelligence into incident response protocols, including the creation of playbooks and response plans based on identified threats.
  • Offer technical expertise in analyzing and interpreting threat intelligence data, facilitating informed decision-making and risk mitigation.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external entities, such as law enforcement and industry forums, to share intelligence on emerging cyber threats and mitigation strategies.
  • Work alongside cross-functional teams, including IT, legal, compliance, and human resources, to embed information security requirements into business processes and systems.
  • Remain updated on the latest advancements in threat intelligence and the cyber threat landscape, advising management and stakeholders on emerging risks.
  • Assist in promoting security awareness and training programs to educate employees on their responsibilities and foster a culture of security compliance.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science, information security, or a related discipline. Relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CISA) are highly desirable.
  • Demonstrated experience (5+ years) in information security management or a related field, with a focus on developing and executing security programs.
  • Strong understanding of information security frameworks, standards, and best practices, such as ISO 27001, NIST, and MITRE.
  • Familiarity with security technologies, including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, encryption, endpoint protection, SIEM, and secure coding practices.
  • Experience in conducting risk assessments, vulnerability assessments, and participating in incident response efforts.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to drive information security initiatives and provide technical expertise to support security strategies.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, contributing to risk-based decision-making processes.
  • Adaptability to work in a dynamic environment with shifting priorities.
  • Understanding of emerging technologies and their potential security implications.
