Position Overview:

Cybersecurity is an essential component of the operations at Careers@Gov.

To maintain the integrity and security of critical systems that support our operations, it is imperative that these systems are robustly protected against the ever-evolving landscape of cybersecurity threats.

We are seeking highly skilled and proactive individuals to join our cybersecurity threat monitoring and analysis team within the Cybersecurity and Data Governance Division.

In this role, you will enhance the cybersecurity readiness and resilience of our organization through vigilant monitoring and analysis of potential threats, as well as the advancement of our capabilities.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the daily operations of the Integrated Cybersecurity Defence Centre, ensuring smooth functionality and further development in collaboration with both internal and external partners;
  • Formulate and implement standard operating procedures, use cases, frameworks, and system architectures for cybersecurity operations, monitoring, detection, and response;
  • Research, collect, and analyze cybersecurity threat intelligence to provide actionable insights for management decision-making;
  • Promptly analyze and address identified cybersecurity threats, risks, and vulnerabilities;
  • Deliver regular updates to management, including incident reports and strategic recommendations;
  • Coordinate response efforts and investigations during cybersecurity incidents;
  • Stay informed about the latest industry practices, technologies, and emerging threats, recommending appropriate controls and solutions to bolster our cybersecurity posture.

Qualifications:

  • Educational background in Cybersecurity, Information Security, Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering (Computing/Telecommunication), or a related field;
  • A minimum of 2 years of relevant full-time experience in cybersecurity, particularly in the development and management of a Security Operations Center (SOC);
  • Possession of an active professional certification in Cybersecurity or Information Security from recognized institutions will be advantageous;
  • Preferred candidates will have strong expertise in SOC operations, threat analysis, cybersecurity threat monitoring (both OT and IT systems), threat hunting, log analysis, network security, and machine learning/deep learning;
  • Self-driven, independent, and a collaborative team player with strong multitasking abilities;
  • A genuine curiosity and passion for cybersecurity, coupled with a proactive mindset;
  • Exceptional verbal, written, communication, and analytical skills.

Your designation will be aligned with your relevant experience.

Successful candidates will initially be offered a contract, with the possibility of permanent placement or contract renewal based on performance.
