Ensign InfoSecurity is seeking a qualified candidate for the position of Senior Director of Information Security. In this pivotal role, you will be instrumental in executing the organization's cybersecurity vision. Reporting directly to the Information Security Office, you will work closely with executive leadership and various business units to drive cybersecurity initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Formulate and execute the organization's information security strategy, objectives, and initiatives.
  • Develop and uphold information security policies, standards, and procedures to ensure adherence to relevant regulations and frameworks.
  • Facilitate the identification, evaluation, and management of information security risks, including conducting comprehensive risk and vulnerability assessments.
  • Lead the creation and implementation of a threat-informed defense strategy, utilizing cyber threat intelligence to proactively identify and mitigate potential security threats and vulnerabilities.
  • Assist in the formulation of metrics and reporting systems to monitor the effectiveness of threat-informed defense measures and communicate the security posture to senior management.
  • Contribute to the design and execution of security controls, safeguards, and countermeasures to protect the organization's information assets, networks, systems, and applications.
  • Remain informed about the latest trends, technologies, threats, and vulnerabilities in information security, providing technical guidance and recommendations to senior management.
  • Support the development and maintenance of incident response plans, coordinating response activities and conducting post-incident evaluations.
  • Establish and sustain a robust cyber threat intelligence program, including the collection, analysis, and dissemination of actionable intelligence to relevant stakeholders.
  • Conduct threat assessments and offer recommendations for enhancing the organization's security posture based on insights from threat intelligence.
  • Ensure the integration of threat intelligence into incident response processes, including the development of playbooks and response plans based on known threats.
  • Provide technical expertise and guidance in analyzing and interpreting threat intelligence data, facilitating informed decision-making and risk mitigation.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external entities, such as law enforcement and industry forums, to share threat intelligence on emerging cyber threats and mitigation strategies.
  • Work with cross-functional teams, including IT, legal, compliance, and human resources, to incorporate information security requirements into business processes and systems.
  • Stay updated on the latest advancements in threat intelligence and the cyber threat landscape, advising management and stakeholders on emerging risks.
  • Assist in promoting security awareness and training programs to educate employees on their responsibilities and foster a culture of security awareness and compliance.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science, information security, or a related discipline. Relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CISA) are highly desirable.
  • Proven experience (5+ years) in information security management or a related field, focusing on developing and implementing security programs.
  • Strong understanding of information security frameworks, standards, and best practices, such as ISO 27001, NIST, and MITRE.
  • Familiarity with security technologies, including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, encryption, endpoint protection, SIEM, vulnerability management, and secure coding practices.
  • Experience in conducting risk assessments, vulnerability assessments, and participating in incident response activities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated capability to drive information security initiatives and provide technical expertise to support security strategies.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, contributing to risk-based decision-making processes.
  • Adaptable and capable of thriving in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities.
  • Understanding of emerging technologies and their potential security implications.
