**Tanker Fleet Operations Manager**

As a Tanker Fleet Operations Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the safe and efficient management of our tanker fleet. This role requires close coordination with various stakeholders to ensure operational excellence and compliance with regulatory requirements.

  • Ensure the technical integrity of the assigned tankers through proactive maintenance and repair programs.
  • Monitor and respond to technical issues reported by vessels and superintendents, providing guidance and solutions as needed.
  • Review vessel performance data, including fuel consumption, machinery reports, and PMS records, to optimize utilization and minimize downtime.
  • Ensure full compliance with industry regulations, including ISM/ISPS, MARPOL, SOLAS, and OCIMF guidelines.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Oversee day-to-day operations of the assigned tanker fleet.
  • Coordinate tanker vetting inspections, SIRE audits, and oil major inspections to ensure vessels meet customer requirements.
  • Lead root cause investigations for incidents, machinery breakdowns, and HSE issues, and implement preventive measures.
  • Develop and manage technical budgets for assigned vessels, including OPEX repairs and dry-docking.

**Requirements:**

  • Class 1 Chief Engineer Certificate of Competency is mandatory.
  • Bachelor's degree in Marine Engineering or a related discipline is preferred.
  • Minimum 5-7 years' shore-based experience as a Fleet Manager/Senior Technical Superintendent handling tankers is required.
  • Seagoing background with senior rank experience on tankers is required.

**Skills and Knowledge:**

  • In-depth knowledge of tanker operations, vetting standards, and industry regulations.
  • Strong leadership and decision-making skills with ability to manage diverse teams.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities with hands-on approach to technical issues.
  • Proficient in PMS systems, MS Office, and technical reporting tools.
