Fire Protection CAD Technician Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Fire Protection CAD Technician to join our team. As a Fire Protection CAD Technician, you will be responsible for preparing accurate and detailed 2D CAD drawings for fire protection systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Create Fire Protection System Drawings: Prepare precise and detailed 2D CAD drawings for fire protection systems, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Collaborate with Managers and Engineers: Work closely with managers and engineers to gather necessary input and resolve drawing-related issues in a timely and effective manner.
  • Update Existing Drawings: Revise and update existing drawings as directed to reflect design changes or mark-ups, maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Maintain Project Files: Organize and maintain project files and drawing records, ensuring easy access and reference.
  • Assist with Drawing Submittals: Assist in preparing drawing submittals and documentation for review purposes, meeting deadlines and quality standards.
Requirements:
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD: Possess strong proficiency in AutoCAD, with ability to create complex designs and layouts.
  • Fire Protection Experience: Previous experience in fire protection is beneficial but not required, as on-the-job training will be provided.
