Automotive Technician Position

We are seeking an Automotive Technician to join our team. As an Automotive Technician, you will be responsible for performing routine vehicle maintenance, diagnosing mechanical and electrical faults, and repairing or replacing defective parts and systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine vehicle maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tire rotation, brake service, and other preventative maintenance procedures.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot complex mechanical, electrical, and electronic faults in vehicles using diagnostic equipment and specialized tools.
  • Repair or replace defective parts and systems, including engine, transmission, braking, suspension, and electrical components.
  • Conduct thorough vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with safety standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Operate diagnostic equipment and specialized tools to diagnose and repair complex faults.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed service records and reports.
  • Provide technical advice and guidance to customers and colleagues on automotive-related matters.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Diploma or certificate in Automotive Technology, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
  • Proven experience in automotive repair and maintenance, preferably in a fast-paced workshop environment.
  • Strong knowledge of vehicle systems, including engine, transmission, braking, suspension, and electrical components.
  • Ability to use diagnostic tools and equipment, including multimeters, oscilloscopes, and wheel alignment machines.
  • Good problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to analyze complex fault codes and diagnose root causes.
  • Team player with strong communication and interpersonal skills, able to work effectively in a collaborative environment.
