  • Full-time opportunity for a seasoned professional to spearhead business development initiatives and drive revenue growth in the Ecommerce and B2B verticals.

We are seeking a Senior Business Development Manager/Director based in Singapore to drive strategic growth in the Ecommerce and B2B verticals. This role combines hands-on deal-making with team leadership, ideal for someone who excels in both individual contribution and people management. You'll be responsible for generating revenue through new client acquisition, shaping go-to-market strategies, and collaborating with internal teams to enhance sales processes.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing and defining the business development strategy, identifying and pursuing new client opportunities, focusing on expanding Sunrate's portfolio in the APAC region.
  • Actively assisting in closing deals while managing your own sales quota.
  • Leading, coaching, and managing a growing team within the Ecommerce and B2B verticals.
  • Collaborating closely with internal teams to enhance the sales process and drive performance improvements.
  • Serving as the first line of defense for Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and risk control functions, working alongside the compliance team to ensure thorough Know Your Customer (KYC) checks and other necessary compliance activities.

Requirements include:

  • A minimum of 8 years of proven experience in Sales or Business Development.
  • Strong industry knowledge or experience in Ecommerce, cross-border payments, and commercial cards is preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience in engaging and pitching to small, medium, or enterprise customers.
  • Proven ability to implement sales frameworks and methodologies that drive team improvements.
  • A track record of effective cross-functional collaboration, partnering with various internal and external teams across the organization.
  • A resilient, entrepreneurial mindset with a strong drive for success, particularly within a start-up environment.
