Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Trainee to join our Listed Derivatives Client Facing Middle Office team in Singapore. As a Trainee, you will be responsible for supporting the team in various tasks, including client money reconciliations, process improvements, and data analysis.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the development of new programs and dashboards to improve process efficiency and data analysis.
  • Manage daily client money reconciliations and controls for APAC exchanges, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Identify and investigate relevant data sources to support process improvements and data analysis.
  • Participate in process improvements and BAU change topics/projects as required.
  • Handle daily transactional activities, position and event management, and ensure timely completion.
  • Handle direct client queries, investigate issues, and direct them to appropriate teams as needed.
  • Develop expertise in Societe Generale's business and organization, as well as the general Clearing business.
  • Cover Follow The Sun protocol for inbound clients, regional/global exchange markets.
  • Report and escalate significant issues and blocking points to manager in a timely manner.
  • Cover for other activities as needed to support the team.
  • Cross-train with teammates regularly and ensure effective communication/handovers of BAU activities.
  • Maintain up-to-date procedures and adhere to Group policies and exchange rules.
  • Ensure all key controls are completed appropriately and on time.

Operational Risk & Regulatory Responsibility

  • Observe procedures and best practices to reduce occurrence and severity of potential mistakes.
  • Escalate issues promptly to Management and participate in continuous process improvement.

Requirements

  • A degree with a major/minor in Computer Science, Information System, Mathematics, Statistics, or Economics.
  • Good knowledge of machine learning and scripting languages, such as Python and Scikit-Learn.
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Office, especially Excel and Excel VBA.
  • Knowledge of Business Intelligence solutions, such as MS Power BI and Tableau.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills, sense of service, and flexibility.
  • Ability to work effectively and efficiently under pressure.
  • Strong analytical and numerical skills, keen eye for details, and ability to simplify complex ideas.
  • Enthusiastic and self-motivated, with a strong desire to learn and grow.
  • Ability to work within a team with diverse cultural backgrounds.
