Job Title: Production Transition Specialist

Role Overview

The Production Transition Specialist plays a crucial role in bridging the gap between research and development, ensuring seamless transition of designs to serial production. This involves collaborating with suppliers to outsource manufacturing processes while maintaining quality standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Transitioning R&D Designs: Assist in moving R&D designs from prototype to mass production by outsourcing tasks to external partners.
  • Quality Assurance: Develop and implement testing tools to guarantee quality control throughout production.
  • Maintenance and Support: Ensure uninterrupted production by providing technical support for existing test systems and resolving any technical issues that may arise.
  • New Test Equipment Development: Assemble, validate, and maintain new test equipment to support scalable production and quality control.
  • Collaboration with Hardware Teams: Collaborate with hardware researchers to assemble prototypes, provide feedback on manufacturability, assembly ease, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Production Facility Coordination: Work closely with production teams to address technical and quality-related concerns in real-time.
  • Change Control Process Support: Contribute to the change control process to ensure machine bill of materials are accurately updated.
Requirements

To excel in this role, candidates should possess:

  • Degree: Bachelor's degree in Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, or Automation.
  • Experience: A minimum of 3-5 years of hands-on experience in a Mechatronics or Robotics environment.
  • Skills: Proficiency in system debugging and troubleshooting, strong communication and presentation abilities, and a structured approach to work.
  • Assembly Skills: Proficient in complex module and machinery assembly.
