Safety and Compliance Officer

Job Description:
The role of the Safety and Compliance Officer is to ensure a safe working environment by enforcing safety protocols, conducting regular site inspections, and implementing safety measures. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in workplace safety and health, with a diploma in a related discipline and at least 3 years' experience in marine shipyard operations.
This position requires excellent communication skills, with the ability to liaise with authorities on safety matters. The successful candidate must also be proficient in firefighting and security equipment maintenance.
Required Skills and Qualifications:- Diploma in Workplace Safety & Health/Engineering or related discipline
- Minimum 3 years' experience in marine shipyard operations
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong knowledge of safety regulations and procedures
- Ability to conduct regular site inspections and implement safety measures
- Proficiency in firefighting and security equipment maintenance
- Paramedic certification in Arm Forces and SCDF, or Healthcare of Industrial background
