Job Overview:

As a mechanical engineer, you will play a key role in the design and development of innovative water/wastewater treatment systems. This is an exciting opportunity to work on complex engineering projects, develop your skills, and contribute to the success of our team.

The job involves working closely with proposal/sales teams to receive process design and develop cost-effective and innovative mechanical designs that meet process design basics and requirements.

Responsibilities include developing detailed layouts, skid drawings, fabrication drawings, isometrics, piping layout, support layout, cable tray layout, interface drawings, and other materials relevant to proposals submission.

You will be responsible for reviewing project specifications to ensure company design complies with customer specifications. Additionally, you will prepare engineering calculations and equipment sizing, as well as equipment datasheets (valve list, equipment list, piping schedule, instrument list, etc).

A key aspect of this role is developing complex equipment layout/skid 3D models to ensure compliance with project/proposal specification. You will also be responsible for developing project costing through the lifecycle of the project.

Effective communication is essential in this role, as you will participate in vendor evaluation and risk assessment processes. Presentations to customers and design reviews are also expected.

Deliverables will include detailed mechanical engineering documents (e.g. design basis, equipment design calculations, PFD, P&IDs, HMB, equipment lists, data sheets, as-built drawings).

This is a dynamic role that requires adaptability and continuous learning. The ability to maintain good communication with all stakeholders and provide visibility on direction and results is crucial.
