Product Safety Specialist

Our organization is seeking a skilled professional to fill the role of Product Safety Certifier. As part of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and compliance of products with national and international standards.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in engineering, certifications such as Certified Engineering Technologist or Journeyman Electrician, and knowledge of CSA, UL, and IEC standards. Additionally, they should possess excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and be able to effectively explain complex technical concepts to others.
Key responsibilities of this position include:
- Ensuring compliance with applicable safety requirements and achieving project completion within time frames and cost deadlines;
- Handling a wide spectrum of projects, including complex ones, generating high revenue levels;
- Delivering assigned projects/tests within agreed timescales;
- Maintaining good productivity in line with company expectations;
- Demonstrating technical competence to review the work of others per divisional quality documents;
- Providing client feedback to Managers, Team Leader or Sales representatives, as appropriate.
