This role involves leading the development of innovative consumer products by collaborating with cross-functional teams to define and develop product designs that meet performance requirements while maintaining cost efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:- Bridge the gap between creative ideas and tangible products from initial concept to final production
- Source OEM and new products from international partners, including supplier evaluation and selection
- Collaborate with manufacturers to ensure products meet and maintain quality standards
- Conduct in-depth engineering research to address critical design challenges and optimize product structures, material selection, and specifications
- Prepare and submit comprehensive documentation detailing product specifications, evaluation reports, and cost analysis
- Degree in Product Design and Product Engineering or related field
- 2 years relevant experience in product engineering in FMCG or related environment
- Proficient with 3D tools and Microsoft Office Suite
- Hands-on experience in consumer product development
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, strong negotiating and planning skills, strong analytical problem-solving, and time management skills
Familiarity with molding process, injection, compression, and LSR mold and design for manufacturing (DFM) is an advantage.
