Structural Design Engineer Job Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Structural Design Engineer to lead and manage the structural scope from design development to construction stage. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of Singapore building codes, BCA regulations, authority submission processes, and industry standards.

  • Coordinate structural drawings with architects, engineers, and specialist trades to ensure buildability, constructability, and minimize clashes.
  • Develop value engineering proposals throughout the construction stage.
  • Work closely with project managers to set up rebar ratio disciplines and guidelines, liaise with consultants to implement and control rebar ratios.
  • Act as the main point of contact between design consultants and construction teams.
  • Attend and lead design coordination meetings, resolving technical and design issues promptly.
  • Provide technical guidance during construction to ensure design quality and intent are maintained.
  • Collaborate with site teams to resolve discrepancies between designs and site conditions.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or equivalent.
  • Minimum 5-10 years of relevant experience in structural coordination or design for residential projects in Singapore.
  • Strong understanding of Singapore building codes, BCA regulations, authority submission processes, and industry standards.
  • Familiarity with precast and advanced construction methods.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting drawings and specifications.
  • Excellent coordination, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to resolve design and site issues effectively.
  • Competence in BIM/AutoCAD and related coordination tools.
