Commercial Contract Manager Job Description

Job Summary:

  • The Commercial Contract Manager is responsible for overseeing commercial and contractual aspects related to the main contract and subcontracts.
  • They will manage commercial and contractual risk relating to the project, review external providers' terms of service, and project deliverables.

Main Responsibilities:

  1. Provide contractual advisory from a commercial perspective to the project through all stages: construction, subcontracting, completion, and hand-over.
  2. Engage in continuous improvement and review of existing processes, systems, and policies that support the project's contract management and administration.
  3. Advises on contractual correspondence related to the project, considering commercial impact.
  4. Identify, assess, and manage/advises on contractual risk.
  5. Manage contractual claims, disputes, settlements, and resolution.
  6. Communicate effectively with stakeholders both verbally and in written notices.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Quantity Surveying/Construction Management/Civil Engineering or related fields.
  • Minimum 10 years relevant experience in contract negotiation, administration, and/or management.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, analytical mindset, problem-solving abilities, as well as keen interest and motivation in a high growth environment.

We are looking for someone who has strong leadership skills, thinks strategically and critically, exercising judgement after consideration for all aspects.
