Commercial Team Leader Job

The role involves overseeing the Commercial team and being responsible for preparing and attending key performance indicator (KPI) reports, monthly head of department (HOD) reports, and monthly commercial reports.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee Commercial team operations.
  • Prepare and attend KPI reports, HOD reports, and commercial reports on a regular basis.
  • Review and update Commercial Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).
  • Assist the Chief Executive Officer in selecting incoming Request for Quotation (RFQs) and assigning them to the Commercial team.
  • Support the Commercial team during the tender process.
  • Ensure compliance with terms in Purchase Orders/Contracts by assisting with billing.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with clients and identify new business opportunities.
  • Attend daily and weekly Commercial meetings.
  • Handle complaints and disputes by negotiating settlement agreements; ensure all RFQs meet technical, regulatory, and commercial requirements.
  • Update Inquiry Masterlist, Quotation Masterlist, Subcontractor Masterlist, QS Server Folder, and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems.
  • Prepare handovers of awarded tenders.
  • Update Weekly Integrated Meeting documents.
  • Review and approve Purchase Orders/Work Orders raised by Supply Chain Management.
  • Select, review, and manage subcontractors assisted by the Operations team.
  • Assist with raising change orders during the construction stage.
  • Support Service Reports requested by the Operations team.
  • Perform other duties assigned by the Chief Executive Officer as required.
Requirements & Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Quantity Surveying, or a related field is essential.
  • Certifications related to Contract Management, Procurement, or Project Management are advantageous.
Experience:
  • A minimum of 8 years' experience in Commercial Management, Contracts, or Procurement is required.
  • Strong background in tendering, RFQs, contract negotiations, compliance, financial reporting, and ERP systems is necessary.
  • Leadership experience in managing Commercial teams is desirable.
