About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Early Childhood Educator to join our team as an Assistant Teacher. This is a unique opportunity to shape young minds and contribute to a collaborative environment that fosters close partnerships with families and stakeholders.

The role requires assisting main class teachers in providing integrated and differentiated learning experiences. You will engage with parents and community partners to extend children's learning beyond the classroom.

Critical Work Functions and Key Tasks

  • Assist in planning and implementing integrated lessons aligned with centre policies and framework, catering to diverse learners.
  • Establish quality learning environments.
  • Observe and document children's learning progress.
  • Integrate respectfulness, responsiveness, and reciprocity within the curriculum.

Foster and Support

  • Nurture respectful, responsive, and reciprocal interactions with each child.
  • Support children's development of secure attachments through warm, consistent, and nurturing caregiving.

Collaborate

  • Build trusting and respectful partnerships with parents and families.
  • Promote centre initiatives and support its collaborative efforts with the community.

Education, Skills, and Competencies

Education and Experience

  • A degree in Early Childhood Education or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Candidates completing Early Childhood Education related courses within 6 months may apply.

Technical Skills and Competencies

  • Adequate knowledge of current early childhood care and education development theories, research, and practices.
  • First-aid certified.

  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Able to work independently with initiative.
  • Good team player with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
