">Pioneering Research Opportunities in Additive Manufacturing

The NUS Centre for Additive Manufacturing is seeking a talented Research Engineer to contribute to cutting-edge projects in additive manufacturing. This role offers an exciting opportunity to leverage advanced 3D printing technologies and drive innovation, particularly in the healthcare sector.

Key Responsibilities:

Proposal Preparation and Bidding:
Develop innovative proposals for advanced manufacturing projects, collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to propose and explore new directions in additive manufacturing.

  • Design and develop medical devices, implants, and instruments, managing the entire design process from concept to market launch.
  • Assist the Director with the preparation, execution, and evaluation of center grant proposals and projects.

Printing Application Development:
Manage the entire product development cycle, from understanding customer requirements to delivering the finished product, utilizing various 3D printing technologies such as FDM, SLM, SLA, and PolyJet.

  • Utilize knowledge of 3D printing capabilities, material properties, and cost optimization strategies to create effective designs.
  • Work collaboratively to continuously improve and iterate product designs using multiple types of 3D printing machines.

Qualifications and Skills
Requirements:

Educational Background:
A degree in Industrial Design or higher related fields is required.

Product Development Experience:
Proven experience in product development with strong capabilities in CAD design and simulation is preferred.

3D Printing Expertise:
Hands-on experience with various 3D printing technologies is highly valued.

Digital Prototyping Skills:
Proficiency in digital prototyping, including coding and programming, is essential.
