About the Role:

The successful candidate will be responsible for performing multiscale simulations to gain fundamental understanding of the deformation mechanism and fracture behavior of additive manufactured alloys.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical engineering, materials science, or a closely related field, with excellent knowledge of metallic materials and additive manufacturing.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform microstructure characterization and mechanical property testing on 3D-printed mechanical parts.
  • Develop a machine learning model for high-throughput evaluation of the mechanical properties of 3D-printed metallic parts.

  • Publish research findings in reputable international journals.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, or a closely related field.
  • In-depth knowledge of metallic materials and additive manufacturing.
  • Good publication record, with at least one first-author paper in international journals.
  • Experimental skills in materials characterization and properties testing.
  • Strong self-motivation and responsibility for research work.
  • Good communication and writing skills in English for research work.
