Sourcing and Procurement Specialist
Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Sourcing and Procurement Specialist to oversee the end-to-end purchasing process, deliver precise technical quotations, and contribute to building a streamlined operation. As part of the launch team, you'll work closely with sales and operations teams to optimize inventory levels and prevent shortages or excess stock.
This multifaceted role combines strategic sourcing with technical quoting and offers an opportunity to help shape regional operations from the ground up. You will be responsible for managing full purchase order cycles, ensuring timely delivery and compliance with company standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the full purchase order cycle, ensuring timely delivery and compliance with company standards
- Support procurement activities, including sourcing, vendor evaluation, and negotiation to secure high-quality materials at competitive landed costs
- Perform accurate data entry and maintain organized filing systems, both digital and physical
- Collaborate with sales and operations teams to optimize inventory levels and prevent shortages or excess stock
- Build and maintain strong supplier relationships to ensure supply chain reliability and prompt issue resolution
- Identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements by analyzing market trends and negotiating with suppliers
- Drive automation in procurement workflows (e.g., EDI, automated POs) and resolve discrepancies in orders or invoices
- Reviews customer RFQs and technical documentation to prepare accurate, competitive quotes for industrial components (e.g., bushings, springs, bearings)
- Evaluate pricing, lead times, and profitability in collaboration with vendors and sales teams
- Manage quote follow-ups, update pricing databases, and maintain detailed records in the company's quote tracking system
Qualifications:
- Graduated in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field with a minimum of 5 years' experience in procurement, sourcing, or supply chain in industrial or manufacturing settings
- Fluency in English is required; proficiency in Mandarin or other regional languages is a plus for Asia-Pacific/Middle East engagement
- Proven ability to manage full purchasing cycles, from vendor selection to order fulfillment
- Solid grasp of landed cost analysis, global sourcing, and supplier performance
- Skilled in RFQs, technical quoting, and interpreting engineering documents
- Strong inventory planning skills and cross-functional collaboration with sales and operations
- Track record of driving cost savings and process improvements
- Proficient in automated procurement tools, ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle), and quote tracking platforms
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and negotiation skills
- Effective communicator with internal teams, suppliers, and customers
- Capable of building strategic supplier relationships and resolving issues proactively
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and adaptable in fast-paced environments
