We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Design Engineer to join our team at Asia Piling Co. Pte. Ltd. in Singapore.

This role requires an individual with excellent technical skills, strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, and effective communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop detailed tender and construction drawings for mechanical systems, including HVAC systems, piping, pressure vessels, and plumbing.
  • Define project scope, identify potential issues, and raise clarifications as needed to ensure project requirements and specifications are met.
  • Evaluate quotations and bid documents to guarantee alignment with project needs.
  • Prepare and present comprehensive design reports to project stakeholders, highlighting key findings and recommendations.
  • Manage and coordinate external design tasks for respective disciplines, ensuring seamless project execution.
  • Review and validate major equipment and material specification sheets to guarantee compliance with industry standards and client requirements.
  • Approve major equipment purchase requisitions and ensure procurement aligns with project needs.
  • Conduct design handover sessions with clients and contractors to ensure a smooth project transition.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in detail design of Mechanical Systems.
  • Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, Revit, etc.) and other mechanical design tools.
  • Understanding of HVAC systems, piping, pressure vessels, plumbing, and other mechanical systems.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and meet tight deadlines.
  • Proficiency in Mandarin is required to effectively liaise with Mandarin-speaking associates.
