Job Title: In-House Counsel

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced In-House Counsel to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing legal support and advice to our organization, with a focus on compliance and confidentiality.

The role will cover a range of areas including investment transactions, corporate governance, trusts and foundations, and dispute resolution. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of relevant laws and regulations, as well as excellent analytical and communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide legal support for equity investments and transactions, including structuring, due diligence, drafting, negotiation, and exit arrangements.
  • Draft, review, and consolidate contracts, agreements, and other legal documents related to investments, operations, and governance.
  • Assist with the setup and administration of family trusts and foundations, including periodic and annual reviews of trustee/foundation structures to ensure ongoing compliance.
  • Handle incorporation, governance, and statutory filings of entities in coordination with corporate secretarial providers.
  • Manage relationships with external counsel and support dispute resolution matters (litigation and arbitration), including evidence collection and case preparation.

Requirements:

  • Master's degree or above in Law; Singapore Bar qualification preferred.
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant experience, ideally in investment, corporate law, private wealth management, or family office environment.
  • Strong ability in drafting and reviewing contracts, legal reasoning, risk assessment, and cross-functional communication.
  • Bilingual proficiency in English and Chinese (spoken and written) to liaise effectively with stakeholders across jurisdictions.
