We are seeking an accomplished Financial Operations Specialist to oversee the full spectrum of finance and accounting functions for our Japan entity.
This includes ensuring accuracy and compliance with Japan GAAP and local tax regulations, preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, consolidating Japan entity results into group reporting, and budgeting & forecasting.
The successful candidate will have fluency in Japanese and strong familiarity with Japan's corporate finance, tax, and payroll regulations, as well as excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee day-to-day accounting operations for the Japan business.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
- Consolidate Japan entity results into group reporting.
- Budgeting & Forecasting: Lead annual budget preparation and periodic forecasting for the Japan business.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline. Fluency in Japanese and English (spoken and written) is mandatory. Minimum 5–7 years of finance experience, with at least 3 years in a Japan-focused role.
Strong understanding of Japanese accounting standards, tax regulations, and payroll practices. Prior experience in a professional services, consulting, or staffing environment is highly advantageous.
Proficient in ERP/accounting systems and MS Excel. Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently across borders.
