Product Development Manager Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Product Development Manager to lead the development of new products.

  • The ideal candidate will have a strong background in nutrition, pharmacy, or chemistry and experience in product development and management.
  • The Product Development Manager will be responsible for generating ideas for new products, defining requirements based on market data and customer insights, analysing industrial trends and performing technology assessments, evaluating scientific information to generate concepts for new product innovations, and preparing and executing new product development plans.
  • The role also involves working closely with Regulatory Affairs to finalise label text and packaging design, sourcing contract manufacturers and liaising with formulators, reviewing formulas and ingredient statements for compliance with regulations, defining critical attributes of final products, and researching market prices and proposing product pricing.

Key qualifications include excellent communication and negotiation skills, proficiency in English and Chinese, and strong interpersonal skills to connect with people from different cultures and levels.

In addition to these key responsibilities, the Product Development Manager will work closely with cross-functional teams to drive business growth through innovative product development.
