Job Summary

The Facilities Manager role involves delivering services to operate and maintain the property, including customer/client services, budget management, facility maintenance, procurement, and supplier management. The successful candidate will develop client relationships and support client's corporate real estate goals and objectives.

Main Responsibilities
1. Overcoming Engineering Challenges: Demonstrate commitment to operational excellence in overcoming engineering challenges
2. Technical Advice and Guidance: Provide technical advice and guidance to facilities engineers and technicians on process system matters
3. Leadership and Team Management: Lead team members in executing tasks and responsibilities, mentor and train staff, and ensure they have correct equipment and tools
4. Building Management Systems: Manage building management systems (BMS) and perform maintenance planning, implementation, and review of site-specific engineering processes and protocols
5. Risk Assessment and Failure Mode Analysis: Perform risk assessments and failure mode and effect analysis (FMEA) to gain an intimate understanding of the system
6. Documentation and Communication: Maintain documentation of all maintenance performed, including system deficiencies, and communicate technical issues to non-engineering colleagues, clients, and vendors
7. Collaboration and Project Management: Collaborate with vendors on various projects from beginning to end and champion improvement projects, monitor spend, and suggest improvements for engineering systems

Key Qualifications
• Diploma or degree in engineering (Mechanical)
• Experience in lab or plant machinery environment or engineering operations
• Strong background in engineering troubleshooting
• Proven experience in facilities system operations, MEP installations, etc.
• Excellent command of spoken and written English
• Ability to communicate technical issues to non-engineering colleagues, clients, and vendors
• Agility and problem-solving skills
