Pharmacy Procurement Support

As a Pharmacy Procurement Assistant, you will play a vital role in ensuring the timely availability of pharmaceuticals and medical supplies for patient care. Your key responsibilities will include assisting in the procurement process, verifying incoming stock against purchase orders, and maintaining accurate documentation of procurement activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the procurement of pharmaceuticals, medical supplies, and consumables to ensure timely availability for patient care.
  • Liaise with vendors and suppliers on quotation requests, purchase orders, and delivery schedules.
  • Verify and receive incoming stock against purchase orders, checking for accuracy, quality, and expiry dates.
  • Maintain proper documentation of procurement activities, including invoices, purchase requisitions, and supplier records.
  • Monitor stock levels, track usage trends, and assist in forecasting to prevent shortages or overstocking.
  • Support the pharmacy team in maintaining compliance with procurement policies, regulatory standards, and audit requirements.
  • Conduct periodic inventory counts and reconcile discrepancies in the stock management system.
  • Provide administrative support to the pharmacy department, including filing, data entry, and report preparation.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need prior experience in doing procurement for medications and excellent communication skills. You should also be able to work well independently and as part of a team.
