Job Title: Optoelectronics Firmware Specialist

 

Job Description:

As an Optoelectronics Firmware Specialist, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining the embedded software for optical transceivers. This involves ensuring that these devices operate reliably and efficiently.

 

Key Responsibilities:
  • Firmware Development: Writing, debugging, and testing firmware for optical transceivers, often using C or C++ programming languages.
  • Hardware Integration: Collaborating with hardware engineers to ensure seamless integration of firmware with the transceiver's hardware.
  • Testing and Validation: Thoroughly testing firmware to guarantee it meets performance and reliability requirements.
  • Problem Solving: Debugging and resolving issues related to firmware and hardware integration.
  • Performance Optimization: Optimizing firmware for speed, efficiency, and power consumption.

 

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree: Typically a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field is required.
  • Experience: Relevant experience in firmware development, embedded systems, and optoelectronics is highly desirable.
  • Master's Degree or Ph.D.: May be preferred or required for more senior positions.

 

This role requires a deep understanding of both hardware and software. The successful candidate will possess excellent problem-solving skills, be able to work effectively in a team environment, and have strong communication skills.
