Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Optical Systems Developer to join our team. As an Optical Systems Developer, you will be responsible for designing and developing optical systems that meet the required specifications.

Your primary focus will be on the development of new optical systems, including the design, testing, and characterization of optical components and subsystems. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that the developed systems meet the required performance and reliability standards.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to work on cutting-edge projects that involve the design and development of advanced optical systems. You will be responsible for defining system and subsystem specifications, documenting manufacturing procedures, and providing training to manufacturing engineers and technicians.

You will also be involved in deriving and managing detailed manufacturing requirements and introduction plans in the design concept phase. This includes covering all aspects of the manufacturing introduction, including design for manufacturability, quality, tooling, training, process documentation, product structure, build process optimization, and facilities requirements.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Familiarity with Python and JavaScript is a plus.
  • Extensive hands-on experience in building/testing optical inspection or metrology tools.
  • Strong diagnostic and trouble-shooting skills in optics, and opto-mechanics.
  • Team player with good communication skills.
